Teaming up for Cycling

Cycling Unlimited AG and the Swiss sports aid foundation “Sporthilfe” are entering into a partnership to promote cycling athletes. From the Alpenbrevet, the TORTOUR and The Digital Swiss 5 to the Tour de Suisse, all events in the Cycling Unlimited portfolio are included in the agreement.

(Cycling) Sport in the Blood

For over 50 years, the Swiss sports aid foundation Sporthilfe has been supporting Swiss athletes on their way to becoming world-class competitors. In 2021, more than 80 cyclists – including names like young professional Noemi Rüegg – were able to count on the support of Sporthilfe, receiving more than 700,000 Swiss francs in total. In the past, Switzerland’s two biggest cycling names, Fabian Cancellara and Nino Schurter, were able to benefit from the support of Sporthilfe. Sporthilfe played its part in contributing to the success of these two exceptional talents and will continue to do so for young athletes in the future.

Sporthilfe Franc at Cycling Unlimited Events

To ensure that as many cycling talents as possible can continue to be supported in in this way by Sporthilfe, Cycling Unlimited is integrating the Sporthilfe Franc at all events. With every ticket purchase or participation fee, one franc can be donated on a voluntary basis to support young Swiss sports talent. “As the largest cycling event organiser in Switzerland, we want to strengthen the foundation of the sport. With the Sporthilfe Franc, we are encouraging the community to get behind the sport and help young athletes,” says Joko Vogel, Co-CEO of Cycling Unlimited AG.
